Yelp - Trusted Reviews
I’ve blogged here before about the value of a trusted review system - a service that would allow one to objectively determine the degree of trust that ought to be afforded the recommendations of others.
Yelp is a new web service that attempts to do that by integrating reviews with social networking. The service allows you to drill down into the reviewer’s profile - this will hopefully allow for easier discarding of shill reviews, and will make it easier to find recommendations by people with similar interests.
