Kennedy Says No
Gerard Kennedy has announced that he won’t support Harper’s (in)famous resolution on Quebec nationhood (or not, depending on who’s talking). Of course, he can afford to. But still ….
Kinsella: “Folks, this is a big, big development. One week from now, I think this guy just might be the new leader of the Liberal Party of Canada!”. Coyne: “Holy jumpin’ Jesus … I guess Diogenes has found his man.” Cherniak: “Kennedy’s playing for keeps”. Morrow: “This is a principled stand and, in my opinion, the right decision.” Me: Oh my - now this is going to be interesting. I haven’t been this inspired about politics since the emergence of Barack Obama.
