One very cool aspect of working with my mesh partners has been our use of web technology to organize ourselves, collaborate, and do our work. It’s been a very effective part of our teamwork, and something I wrote about a while ago in more detail.
Notably, we’ve been using a service called 2ndSite to send out some of our invoices. Notably because one of our partners, Mike McDerment, is some of the brains behind 2ndSite. Well, as busy as he’s been on mesh, he’s been busier still on what amounts to a dramatic rebranding of 2ndSite, which will precede by a couple of weeks the release of a new version of the service. The new brand is FreshBooks – it looks sweet, works very well and is affordable to boot. I’ve tested it out, and it’s pretty darn cool. One nifty addition: the ability to send invoices by US mail.
