Printer Manufacturers Find New Avenues to Increase Consumer Costs
In yet another snub to consumers looking to reduce toner costs, the printer manufacturers are going to start instituting region coding (of DVD fame) in toner cartidges, to prevent consumers from importing cartridges from cheaper jurisdictions.
No doubt, efforts to circumvent the coding will be prosecuted as DMCA violations.
