Plaxo’s taken a lot of heat for its acquaintance spam – perhaps deserved, but I’ve always thought it excessive. After all, it’s a ridiculously competent update and sync service – and it’s free. So I’ve been a supporter since I discovered it, spam or no. And so it’s nice to see the winds changing for Plaxo lately, and I suppose that Plaxo’s apology and TechCrunch’s post on it today marks the end of the Cold War. Hope so.
