eWeek is running a bizarre story that considers who might step in to the void created if RIM is actually shut down. The ‘experts’ say Microsoft and Nokia, “both of which have been pushing hard to raise their presence in the space, in particular among the business clients that make up the bulk of BlackBerry’s existing customers. Analysts said that either firm would love to increase its own user ranks at RIM’s expense, and that customers might be willing to listen.” Each is presented as having the financial depth to bankroll the large user transition …
