2006 Law Society of Upper Canada Case Files in Business Law Series
For the third time, the Law Society of Upper Canada is holding the Case Files in Business Law Series – a hands-on, interactive continuing legal education workshop program on the fundamentals of Business Law. I Chair the Series and co-developed it with past Session Chairs, Geoff Taber, Craig Johnston and Lisa Lifshitz.
This year we are offering three new sessions developed with the generous help of new Session Chairs Robin Coster of Torys LLP (Intellectual Property Law – March 6, 2006), Matthew L.O. Certosimo and Jennifer M. Fantini of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (Employment Law – April 24, 2006) and Jordan Dolgin of Wilson Vukelich LLP (Mergers and Acquisitions – May 8, 2006).
We’re very pleased with the results of the workshop format so far. Here are some comments from past Case Files participants:
“The best format for truly learning and retaining.”
“Speakers were excellent! Will be attending other courses!!”
“Great program, great guidance”
“Enabled one to actually learn.”
“Truly enjoyed the workshop format – very valuable.”
“An excellent program – just the right mix of substantive and interactive content.”
“It was a wonderful opportunity to brainstorm with others at the same level.”
