Ethan has a great post on Art in society, and the need to embark on a broad discussion about how we value it. I’ve been craving this discussion for a long time. I’m very tired of the ‘sphere’s knee-jerk criticism of the media industry’s efforts to find new ways to value Art. I hope we can move beyond it to a constructive discussion of what comes next.
