The electoral college does it, and to date there have been four or five presidents confirmed as elected against the popular vote. I'd be less polite but I've seen no expletives thus I'm avoiding 'em (here). I'd like to see an active feed to my mailbox of your blog, although I doubt that's possible; nonetheless I've earmarked it. I am very attracted to the quality of thought and the quality of the language that supports it in what little I've read...
