The only reason today is a test for Obama is because white America still believes in fairy tales - the fairy tale of its own tolerance. (We are the same here in Canada - just without the Kabuki theatricality; the ritual sacrifice of anyone who dares to speak out about this evil).

Call yourself a Christian and thunder from the pulpit that God destroyed New Orleans as punishment for homosexuality and you are ordained, celebrated, and courted by Presidents and their acolytes. Stand up for the impoverished, the vulnerable and the oppressed and you are shunned, whipped and excommunicated.

This isn’t a ‘test’. It’s theatre for white people.
