It's all distraction - some self-imposed, and some imposed according to a political agenda, I fear - from the more important issues that face us. I agree with Mark Evans, and will go one step further: Tell me the difference between what Scoble is doing and how the uber-bloggers are reacting and how Brittany et al. are doing and how the massmedia are reacting (or even how the massmedia news-ertainment outlets are covering the US Presidential primaries as sports coverage).

If there's any good to come out of Scoble-Gate, it's that the idea of who owns your data has been thrust into the spotlight. And maybe people will pay more attention to terms of service rather than quickly clicking through.
