Holy cow, I won a CLawBie

Holy cow, I tied with Michael Geist for the 2007 CLawBie “Best Canadian Law Blog (or Blogger) Award”. I’m a little bewildered at being mentioned in the same sentence as Michael, but I’m not going to question good fortune. Thanks, Steve!! Details at the many great blogs that won other CLawBies at the site.

Wow–congratulations, Rob!! Steve cites a lot of your work done on mesh and bringing a non-legal audience to your blog. Great work.

    Cheers,
    Connie

Rob, I think of your blog as a completely different animal than Michael’s. You’re the practitioner’s benchmark for blogging in my books. I like both the range & volume of your commentary, and the fact that you aren’t quoting Statutes at every turn.

Your blog in 2007 reflected a person going flat out during the Mesh experience. I think that spoke to your readership, especially those of us that have given that kind of time to an event or group.

And finally, there was a noticeable gap in my aggregator while you were away.

That all adds up to 2007 being a great year.

Congrats, Rob. You’ve done a great job of providing a legal voice that isn’t just talking to other lawyers (like so many of the rest of us!). You deserve the praise!
