Angel - I hear you, but Scoble is a geek writing to geeks, so that was kind of my point.

Judson - exactly right, I think. I used the Mac Mini simply because it was braindead easy - I gave up some functionality, but easy was more important to me.

I've never really understood the benefit, but I don't like sitting on the couch. If you do, I agree, it's pretty obvious you can use the screen for other things. I'm not sure how "geeky" a mac mini attached to a tv is though, I mean, what's the geeky part, the DVI to HDMI converter? And not to be too much of an ass to Scoble, I don't think his kid playing WoW on an underpowered gaming computer, or browsing the web on your TV is a revolution. I think my grandma had webtv like what 7 years ago. But yes, it is useful for lots of people, that's why there are so many solutions to do it. :)

It's great that you've been doing it for 5 years (I've been doing it for quite some time as well), but the average consumer isn't doing it. Greater awareness of these types of solutions means more choice/features for consumers in the long run. I'm glad to see it being pointed out even though I've had a computer hooked up to my TV for a while now.
