It is I suppose not a coincidence that on the day that Frances Russell documents the Post’s efforts to bury the Schreiber-Mulroney story, the Post runs a piece titled “Mulroney only lobbied overseas, author says” (if an “author” said it, it must be true) that actually says no such thing. Deliberately deceptive?

Mulroney’s legacy or so to speak is one of deceit. Accepting “cash” of $225,000 is one thing, not declaring it because he has $225,000 in offsetting expenses is a nothing more than out right tax evasion. The fact that he declared it 6 years later only after Karl Heinze Schreiber was charges speaks volumes. This money was never going to be declared and to most intelligent people this former PM is an embarrasment. Good on you Luc Lavoie for quiting on this PM. No need to bring down your own integrity.
CRA should be launcing a full investigation and charges must be laid against this former PM.
I wish I could tell CRA I have offsetting expenses to my income and not declare it.
