“Facebook users across the nation are outraged”

11-21-07 · 1 comment

I’m obviously missing something, but MoveOn’s campaign is the first sign of outrage I’ve seen. I don’t like FB’s social ads, but I’ve seen plenty of signs that some folks do, and while 2,000 MoveOn supporters sounds like a lot it’s not the earthquake that MoveOn’s hyperventilation is portraying it to be. Blodget is right: users will decide. Update: Perhaps I wrote too soon. The Facebook group “Petition: Facebook, stop invading my privacy!”, created by someone who identifies themself as being with MoveOn, now has over 9,000 members. And one of the posts in the group has tip on how to extinguish the Beacon.
