Every Which Way But Right

It’s actually pretty funny watching the Republican Party, which has invested so much in the last 20 years to growing its base in the middle and lower classes by conning people with social conservatism into ignoring their own economic well-being (who needs job security or health-care when you can get a constitutional amendment banning flag-burning or gay marriage (well, not even get the amendments, just a lot of angry talk radio demanding them?), struggling to cope with candidates who are socially conservative but economically moderate.
