Is Mozy the Most Useful Web App in the World?
Of course I’m prone to hyperbole - but faced with a tool that’s this useful, who wouldn’t be? I’ve just installed Mozy and I’m dazzled by its simplicity and effectiveness in solving a difficult problem - offsite backup. Nicely, nicely done. Simple is very good. Thanks to cousin Dave for the lead. (Disclosure: the link to Mozy sends referral love to my account with them.)

I had to lecture cousin dave for weeks on how useful Mozy is before he got off his butt and started using it!

Ahhh - now I know where he gets all his best tips (!)
Perhaps I will start calling him Cousin Dave all the time as well, just for kicks.
LOL. It has kind of a Beverly Hillbillies feel to it. More like ‘cuzzin dave’
I have looked into iDrive, iBackup, data deposit box, xdrive, ebackups, and mozy. They all seem to have their pros and cons. But doing online backups sure is a great way to do backups. Heck, I get tired of talking to clients about all the data they lost when their computer crashed. How nice is it to have something that automatically and securely backs up data for people? Couple that with a nice, easy user interface and most people would be set. I think as internet speeds increase these types of backups are really going to catch on. It’s sooo convenient!
