Dream in High Park
Even though I’ve lived right next door to High Park for about 15 years, I’ve never been to Canstage’s annual “Dream in High Park” - our nightly Shakespeare in the Park theatre. And after seeing A Midsummer Night’s Dream - the company’s 25th anniversary production - last night, I’m struggling to understand whatever possessed me to pass on this marvellous Toronto experience these many years. Run - don’t walk - to the next production (Tuesday to Sunday, 8 pm, until September 2) - it is absolutely delightful. Sit on the grass, have a picnic, and enjoy the hard work of a wonderfully talented group. The writing’s not half-bad, too.

Glad you finally went!
Just one example of the many awesome things our city has to offer. There are other park performances as well. For example, I’ve seen Shakespeare in the Logan/Carlaw park off the Danforth (Broadview-Pape).

I had no idea there were others. I really ought to get out more (!)
