Ning’s New Round
Now we know why Marc Andreessen recently blogged that one ought to try raise as much as one can – he was doing just that at the time. This is starting to look awfully familiar. Rob Hof seems skeptical. Colour me skeptical, too. I’ve only a little time for social networks, and Facebook is absorbing all of it. And though I’ve been invited into a few Ning networks, I’ve found that after some initial visits my interest has died off pretty quickly. Update: Ethan thinks Ning may be Facebook’s dark horse – it is a platform, after all. Fair enough. I just wish I could say I knew one person who really uses it.
