On the other hand, how different is it from our current geographical divisions? Red state, blue state. Therefore, the web just accentuates an already divided nation. Paradoxically, the mass media is cast as the left-wing old guard and the internet is the rise of the grass roots conservatives. In reality, the godless liberals of that most internet-visiting age group - twenty something males - remains staunchly left.
