The Best TV is Not Yet on TV
Bar none, the best TV I’ve seen in ages, and a great example of the threat that Apple TV presents, are the TEDTalks videos. Do yourself a favour and expand your world and mind by watching a few. Watching a bunch of them recently got me thinking that it doesn’t take too much imagination to realize that online video is going to turn TV on its ear. Why not, for example, produce inexpensive video of every Broadway and off to off-off-off Broadway play, for viewing anywhere, anytime, and so on? I would gladly pay for the opportunity to watch. I suspect that as online video matures we’ll see very interesting repurposing of content originally intended for other viewing modes.
