Having lived in a world where companies paid 100k or 1mm to big law firms regularly, the legal equivalent is all to familiar to me. Interestingly, though, there are far less unecessary hours billed to real estate development than to media. Only my personal experience, perhaps, but the IP guys especially make me want to go hide under the bed.
