All right, this is an entirely facetious question to ask on the back of Nicholas Carr’s rumination on Dell’s problems - after all, support costs come in different flavours. But still, complexity is expensive, and I wonder whether Dell’s life would be easier if it were more aligned with Apple - something I wondered, in a roundabout way, a few months ago.
