“For The Record”
If I had any doubt before that we’re in a bubble, it’s gone. When young ‘preneurs start believing that the world so rotates around them and their businesses that this is necessary or even a good idea, it’s time to sell.
And there are few things more vulgar, immature or destructive than a public divorce, with the world standing on the sidelines egging it on. Enough already.

Its been interesting watching this play out. Taking the high road would be to say its over, we had a difference of opinion, thanks for your support and hope to see you soon. Its OK to express disappointment, but resist the temptation to air your side of the dispute even if the other does.
For some reason, the blogosphere tends to cause people to go a bit overboard on tact or ethical issues - such as disclosing sensitive corporate info when they would never think of sending it in a letter. I don’t know whether it is the immediacy of it (ie no time to have second thoughts), or if its the blog culture where people tend to express their personal opinions in public more than they otherwise would.
The whole thing just makes me sad.
