Rumours are flying, and Cringely has some ideas about what’s going on. Strange, yes; demented, well, you said it, I didn’t; but also oddly compelling. Update: Than again, perhaps not so much.

Some of Cringley’s concepts certainly are compelling (Adobe, Office), but it would be nice if he knew what Aperture was before suggesting that it would bow to Photoshop. They’re not comparable apps. Doesn’t help his credibility.
