Oddly, Mr. Stein wrote something very funny and very inaccurate. He was allowed to assert a host of factually incorrect information about regulations and hearsay statements that he presents as gospel truth.
I don’t know why he didn’t use the recently release info from the FAA that said out of several thousand responses to whether cell phones should be allowed, only a handful were in favor.
Or this from a traveler’s survey released in 2005: “A total of 682,456 air travellers (comprising more than 76 different nationalities) participated in this major global passenger survey, with an overwhelming majority (89.1 %) saying they are opposed to any planned introduction of systems to permit onboard cellphone usage – during either long or short haul flights.”
