Whither Satellite Radio?

When satellite radio was first announced in Canada my first reaction was to wonder whether radio of any kind - traditional or satellite - could survive podcasting (it hasn’t in our house - or car). With the announcement expected tomorrow of city-wide wi-fi, I’m wondering once again - with the growth of internet radio, where will satellite radio will fit in for the residents of Toronto?
