		<description>Agreed.  With those bandwidth implications the carriers will be a receptive lot - I think MS will have more success spreading the gospel of wireless email, RIM being focused at the enterprise level.  MS too, but a lot more besides, I think.</description>

Up until now their competition has just been tiny startups like Seven Networks and Good Technology and Visto -- now Microsoft is rolling out a free upgrade to Exchange that does push email, and who doesn&#039;t like the sound of the word &quot;free?&quot; Not to mention the fact that Microsoft has the clout to swing deals with the major telecom carriers, who are RIM&#039;s major partners (but also its competitors, since they want all that juicy email traffic for themselves). I can almost hear those profit margins getting squeezed.</description>
