Apple v. Dell

Something I’ve been wondering since the Apple-Intel announcement: this pits Apple against Dell more than ever before. To what extent will Dell’s outsourcing of its operating system to Microsoft make a difference in how effectively Apple and Dell compete against each other?

    I’m wondering the same thing. People will undoubtedly buy $700 Dell’s with OS X on them though.

    Apple thus far has had tremendous success within a very splintered segment of the computer buying population. Apple is particulary popular within education and graphic artists area. I doubt that Apple/Intel will lead to any significant increase in market share. Windows has a much greater appeal than Mac OS it also has 95+ % of the worlds PC OS…
