I also expect that if a newpaper or similar organization did so then they would claim that they were merely &quot;reporting news&quot; which also falls under both &quot;fair use&quot; and &quot;fair dealing&quot;.

Does that seem accurate?</description>

Whether you were entitled to quote - under our principles of fair dealing - isn&#039;t the point I was making.  The point was your insistence that others who wish to quote you rely on their own fair dealing rights, instead of simply granting them more liberal license rights, such as those available under Creative Commons licenses, from the outset.</description>
