I Get No Spam
With apologies to John C. Dvorak, “I get no spam”. And I’m delighted.
I’ve been trying a new technique for a couple of months now and it’s working flawlessly – all e-mail is routed through Gmail’s spam filters before it gets to me. I’ve read criticism and praise of Gmail’s filtering but so far I am running 0 false positives and no spam. Not one. Nada. Down from, well, a mind-numbingly endless procession of ads for, well, you know. And since I switched my e-mail accounts over to IMAP, I get nothing on the Treo either – everything gets trapped by the Gmail filters.
How-to details are at Tech Collective, a collective blog to which I’ve been contributing recently.
