My wife had this idea: in every town, a Mardi Gras this spring, to celebrate the eventual reconstruction and restoration of New Orleans, and to raise funds to aid in that effort. In every town - from the smallest, to New York, Chicago, Miami and Los Angeles - perhaps even across North America and further afield - a Mardi Gras.

An organizing committee could be established online, with a Wiki to help people learn how to organize and to help in the coordination.
