Michael Geist’s latest Law Bytes column focuses on the recent finding of the federal Privacy Commissioner that marketing materials included in monthly banking statements constitute “secondary marketing†and that consumers should be entitled to opt-out of receiving them.
It’s a thoughtful and useful overview of the issue and of the changing culture of marketing.
