Another Data Loss - 3.9 Million Affected
Citigroup has announced that computer tapes containing personal information on about 3.9 million customers were lost by United Parcel Service Inc. while in transit to a credit-reporting bureau.
The announcements of data loss are coming so frequently now in the aftermath of California’s new law requiring notification of data disclosure, that one wonders how much data was being ‘lost’ beforehand.
