On Pharming and Evil Twins
Sabrina Pacifici links today to a free WSJ article that describes some of the more recent tactics being used to steal our personal information: ‘pharming’ our information after sending us to webpages that look like the intended destination, but are merely imposters to which we’ve been sent using a poisoned URL, and ‘evil twin’ WiFi hotspots that look like the intended hotspot but aren’t, and capture our information when we connect.
My vocabulary is taking me in strange directions ….
