Some time ago I blogged an article on by Michael Maslanka setting out 10 steps GC’s can take to reduce risk, disputes and hopefully costs in labour and employment. I also invited Mike Fitzgibbon to wade into the discussion, but from a Canadian perspective.

Boy, has he ever. Mike’s post, “12 Thoughts on Employee Terminations”, is my favourite kind of legal commentary – practical, sensible and wise. He describes the post as “off-the-top thoughts (not necessarily about reducing risk, just thoughts, more generally on employee terminations).” It’s a great read.
