MuniWiFi for Hamilton

Tyler Hamilton has a story in today’s Star about Hamilton’s plan to link smart utility meters with main computers using a WiFi network. The network could also be used as a city-wide WiFi hotspot.

This is a very cool development. For more coverage on muniwifi, see Michael Geist’s column about Canadian muniwifi here, and my posts about events south of the border - including the intense opposition from telco’s - here.
