Information Overlord posts on the recent formation of a new London sports law boutique firm:
Senior lawyers from Clifford Chance and sports marketing group IMG have teamed up to launch a new niche firm, onside law.
The brand new sport, fashion and entertainment law firm has been launched by former Cifford Chance senior associate Simon Thorp and former IMG in-house lawyers Oliver Hunt and Jamie Singer.
Commenting on the launch of onside law Thorp said: “We’ve got a unique blend of magic circle and industry experience. There’s an industry reaction on the cost and quality of service from bigger firms.”
This is music to my ears. I should be keeping a list of the number of times I hear of boutique firms that are created in response to client concerns about cost and quality of service. It would be a long list.
