Choicepoint to Allow People Access to Their Records
An embattled ChoicePoint has announced that it is developing programs to allow people to have access to their records. This on the heels of recent controversy over its data collection and sale practices and a break-in.
The right of a person to have access to their records is an important principle under Federal Canadian privacy laws - but so too is the right to correct any errors. No word yet on ChoicePoint’s commitment to that idea.
