I’m shocked, shocked to discover that there is celphone # portability going on here … or will be soon, apparently.  So close on the heels of this lament, Tyler Hamilton notes that a promise of portability was mentioned in the budget:

The Government also intends to ask the CRTC to move expeditiously to implement wireless number portability

I’ll believe it when I see it (and I still expect the CRTC to drag this out as much as it can), but this is very, very good news.
