Philips Predicts Mobile TV Dominance
I’m not sure what the future will look like, but, Philips’ efforts to jack up its stock price notwithstanding, it will not be full of people squinting at video on celphone displays while they’re waiting for the bus. If streaming video hasn’t taken off on the ‘net, despite the boom in large screen LCD monitors and broadband network access, it is going nowhere fast on celphones anytime soon.
Consumers need more than the ability to watch before they turn on. It also actually has to be a good experience ….
