Boxer Sues Claiming Loss From Disclosure of MRI’s

31 Dec ’04

Via the Globe and Mail, a Buffalo man has sued a clinic and the NY State Athletic Commission claiming that they improperly distributed his medical records which indicated that he had suffered multiple brain bleeds in his last boxing match.  He claims this has caused him "public scorn, humiliation, emotional suffering, financial loss in the nature of decreased endorsement opportunities and/or available purses, suspension of the ability to keep and maintain a boxing license in this and other states and other derivative damages."

Apparently no problem with multiple "brain bleeds", though.
